Krish Sports Foundation believes that success comes from doing things constantly. To achieve something in life, we have to give up on the other. We understand to leave your family is a moment of emotional breakdown and sadness and therefore we wanted to do something to cheer these athletes up. Hence, we decided to visit their places and bid farewell to their parents.

They struggle hard for their livelihood and due to all these problems, Anil’s parents decided to keep him in an Ashram school from first standard which is located 50Kms away from the village in a nearby city- Shirpur.

It wasn’t an easy decision but was certainly a must for the betterment of their child. Anil visited his parents only once in a year. After all the struggles he has seen his parents go through, he didn’t let them down. After all the struggles he has seen his parents go through, he didn’t let them down. He went on to pursue his passion that is running and kept on participating in inter and intra school competitions.

One find day, his fate turned upside down when he was spotted by an athletic coach- Subhash Pawara on his visit to Ashram school. He saw the talent in Anil and therefore decided to adopt this child. He got Anil enrolled at a high school in Shirpur and kept him at his own place with other athletes. He took care of all his needs and started to train him and sooner than later, Anil had won a gold medal in state championship in 400mtr race with a timing of 53:00 seconds. After this, he started participating at National Level championships as well. After seeing his ability, he was selected by our foundation in the first ever batch of Sports Super 30.

After his basic training in Shirpur, he was brought to Mumbai with other selected athletes for a training of fifteen days. We went to his place with him to say goodbye to his parents and were shocked to see the family situation. Coming from such a household and taking these little steps is a big deal. His parents had cooked food for us all. When we were ready to leave, he hugged his parents and siblings and cried. After all, leaving home and family isn’t easy.

In Mumbai, he was a part of Adidas run, cancer awareness program and other events that took place. After being given a proper schedule and diet plan to follow, he was sent back to his place. He was really motivating. He might not belong to a very good family in terms of finances but his passion led him to this big platform and exposure. His house isn’t huge but his heart, for sure is!

Shakila Pawara’s home visit-

“Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen.”

The day we met Shakila Pawara, we knew she was of the category of others. She is an eleven year old girl brave and audacious girl with an unceeasing passion. She is extremely passionate and hard working when it comes to her interests. Coming from a village like Dhadgaon where there’s no network or connection, she broke all records. She belongs to a poor tribal community living in the hills. Her father, too, is a farmer and mother-a housewife. She is the youngest to his four elder brothers. Coming from such a family, she had to struggle a lot. She used to go 1-2Kms uphill just to get network. Her elder brother is an athlete who lives with Mr. Subhash Pawara. Just like her brother Deepak, she too liked running a lot and therefore practicing with him on the hills became a routine for her. At the age of 20, Deepak had already ran various half and full marathons under the guidance of Mr. Pawara.

Deepak went to visit his family and after spending some time, he came back to Shirpur for ‘Shirpur Daud’-a running competition. This time, he brought his younger sister with him. She was ten years old when she participated in a 10Km run and came first. Seeing her ability, Subhash Pawara was impressed and surprised by her determination. He even decided to train her for free. He arranged everything for her, just like he had done for others. She later on participated in many competitions, one of which was Bajaj Pune Marathon. It was a 10Km run and she won first prize by completing it in 39:30 minutes. After seeing her skills and dedication, we selected her for our program Sports Super 30 and she too was brought down to Mumbai. We visited her place as well to bid her parents. It was an emotional rollercoaster too. Everybody cried and her parents were proud of her.

Even though we couldn’t visit everyone’s place, we still realize how everyone would’ve been feeling. It was a mixed feeling of sadness and excitement as they embark on a new journey. We appreciate everyone’s effort and are proud of everything that they’ve achieved. We wish the very best to all of them!
