Why KRISH SPORTS
FOUNDATION?

Our foundation is a place for people to express, visualize and explore their long-desired goals. Helping the new-era stars rise, we have become more of a comfort for the parents of our tribal athletes; a stage where they can see their children shine and succeed with their achievements. We are a foundation to some and hope to many. As hard it is to get through this modern world, we shelter our athletes with acceptance and development to reconcile their life with the ever-developing sphere.

ACHIEVERS ACHIEVERS

SHAKILA VASAVE

AGE - 11 YEARS

ACHIVEMENT – 5000M - 19.00 Minutes

10000M – 39 Minutes 40 second

Determination and will power, these are the qualities that Shakila clenches and that pushes her to greatness, keeps her focused on entering the Winners circle.

At a mere age of 10 she holds numerous wins under her belt but her finest win is the International Pune Bajaj Run which she clocked at 39.30 min for a 10k run snatching the gold medal.

Belonging from a remote place deep in the hills called Dhadgoan where electrification by itself means little when power outages are frequent enough to make the term a mere technicality.

She studies and practices hard in an ashram school in the nearest city which is 120 km away from her cottage.

She puts hours in practice, day in and out without substantial diet and kit yet outruns everyone.

She is the prodigy in Sports Super 30 program with true qualities of an athlete.

ANIL PAWARA

AGE - 15 YEARS

ACHIVEMENTS- 400M – 53 Seconds (MAHARASHTRA STATE GOLD MEDAL)

You don't become a champion because you are lucky. As an athlete, you make your fortune.

How much you desire success can determine the limit of your potential, and the desire burns high in Anil pawara.

A State-level 400m gold medallist with a record time of 53 seconds and a National level athlete from a tribal village Samradevi in Maharashtra where a 5km daily commute to his school and only a few hours of electricity was a given.

Running barefoot was usual for him and the concept of shoes while running wasn't until he got his first pair of shoes in 8th standard.

With no financial support and modern concepts of athletic standards, he forged his way by sheer efforts and will power.

He is arguably one of our Sports Super 30 most emerging and promising athlete.

SOMNATH PAWARA

AGE - 18 years

ACHIVEMENTS – COMPLETED 42KM FULL SINGAPORE MARATHON

The price of success is hard work, the determination of whether we win or lose, we have done our best to the task at hand.

Somnath Pawara did the same when he accidentally ran and completed for the first time a full marathon of 42 km at Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon rather than the 21 km half Marathon, he practised all his life.

Financial problems were never a deterrent to his aspirations to earn for his family, though the lack of support and exposure occasionally did demoralise him he kept on honing his skills and secured 6th position in Tata Mumbai marathon with secured him a place in Singapore International marathon.

He is a committed state level athlete and a role model for all the Sports super 30 athletes yet to come.
